Art by Nancy Erickson
| |
Nancy Erickson lives in a mountain canyon near Missoula with deer, bears. and cougars, who have been there for centuries. Her fabric works reflect the connection we all have with one another, with the land, and with what is left of wildness. As in all the work Nancy does, it is the wild animals who are the seers.

Biography-Don H. Mundt
| |
Don H. Mundt was born in Great Falls in 1952, raised in Shelby. Don grew up under Montana\'s constantly changing skies displayed over the vast prairies, with the Rockies rising up like teeth to the west and the Sweetgrass Hills to the northeast. He was given \"the spark\" to be an artist by his high school teacher and a first-hand art history lesson while serving in Europe in the Army. Upon returning home, Don received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1979 from the U of M, Missoula. In 1984 Don did post-graduate work at U of M. He also participated in a
workshop with the Cowboy Artists of American in 1986. All of these experiences, as well as a love for the great outdoors, serve as a foundation for his sweeping landscapes.
He was honored to exhibit his work at the Montana Governor\'s Mansion in
Helena December, 1993 through February, 1994, and beginning in 1997 his paintings where exhibited in the prestigious Sutton West Gallery in Missoula with a major show of his new work every two years. He has paintings in private collections throughout the United States and in Canada, Japan and
Germany. Don is currently represented by Marigold Fine Arts in Santa Fe,
New Mexico and sells from his own place of business in Missoula.
In March 2000 he launched his website:
www.montanaart.com, an internet gallery that is currently featuring his paintings as well as providing
links to other Montana artist\'s sites. Don has worked as a professional picture framer for the past 30 years, while continuing to paint and exhibit his paintings in juried shows, galleries and art fairs.
His storefront is called Montana Art & Framing and is located at 709 Ronan Street in Missoula, Montana.
