A Gallery full of wonderful art.
March at Montana Art and Framing
Montana art and framing presents three extremely talented Plein Air Oil painting artists; Teresa Garland Warner, Elene Weege, and Elizabeth Hughes Bass.
~~~
Teresa was born in Dallas, Texas and showed a great deal of promise even at a young age. Along with her medical degree she received a degree in life drawing and water coloring. She worked in the Medical field for 30 years before she retired to follow her passion of painting full time.
~~~
\"With interesting light and an artist\'s eye, any scene may be transposed into a painting. I prefer to work from life to capture more of the atmosphere, essence, and subtle lighting effects of the scene. I desire the painting to evoke a story.\"
~~~
Elene also had a medical related career but exchanged it for the life of an artist in the 1980\'s. She studied art and oil painting focus at the University of Wisconsin before moving to Montana in 1998. Drawn to the beautiful western landscapes and the beautiful skies.
~~~
Elizabeth worked for over 20 years designing and creating hand-painted silk scarves and evening bags. Her ink and water color illustrations have appeared in numerous books and magazines. With her oil paintings she creates a wide variety of cityscapes, figures and Plein air landscapes.

Biography-Don H. Mundt
Born in Great Falls, Montana in 1952 and raised in Shelby, Montana, Don grew up under constantly changing skies over the vast prairie, with the Rockies rising up like teeth to the west. The spark to be an artist was supplied by his high school teacher and the flame was fanned by a first-hand art history lesson during a stay in Europe while he was in the Army in 1973. Upon returning, Don received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1979 from the University of Montana, Missoula. In 1984, Don did post-graduate work in painting at U. of M. He participated in a workshop with the Cowboy Artists of America in 1986. All of these experiences, as well as a love for the great outdoors, serve as a foundation for his landscapes. While also working as a professional picture framer for the last 25 years, Don has exhibited paintings in juried shows , galleries and art fairs. In March 2000, he launched www.montanaart.com, an internet gallery that is currently featuring his paintings. Don was honored to exhibit his work in the Governors Mansion in Helena, Montana from December 1993 though February 1994. Beginning in 1997, the prestigious Sutton West Gallery in Missoula, exhibited his paintings with a major show every two years. He has paintings in private collections thoughout the United States, Japan, and Germany. Don is currently represented by Marigold Fine Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
